Piedmont, California, uses EECBG funds to install 88 LED streetlights

Piedmont, California, plans to install 88 LED streetlights in a small, pilot-style initiative. The project will be funded by an award from the US Department of Energy’s Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) program. The grant award of $58,000 will be used to purchase and install approximately 88 new LED streetlight fixtures. The competitively bid project was awarded to the Amland Corporation, which will install LED streetlight fixtures manufactured by On-Q Lighting Systems of Oakland, California.
