La Grange, North Carolina, to spend $194,445 on LED streetlights

The North Carolina Energy Office (NCEO) recently announced local awards of federal stimulus funds for energy efficiency projects in North Carolina. The town of La Grange, North Carolina, received $155,475 from the US Department of Energy’s Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) program. The EECBG program is administered in North Carolina by the NCEO. The EECBG award will be used to purchase and install approximately 345 LED streetlights in the town of La Grange. Town officials expect total project cost to be about $194,445.
