Loma Linda, California, awarded $123,200 for LED streetlights

The city of Loma Linda, California has been awarded $123,200 in federal stimulus funds for a citywide LED streetlight deployment project. The award is funded through the Department of Energy’s Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) program. Loma Linda city officials plan on replacing nearly one third of the city’s high pressure sodium (HPS) streetlights with LED luminaires. Long term city goals include converting all Loma Linda streetlights to LED fixtures.

Waynetown, Indiana, receives $247,000 EECBG award for LED streetlights and traffic signals

The city of Waynetown, Indiana, has been awarded $247,000 in federal funds, which will be used to replace existing streetlights and traffic signals with LED fixtures. The grant award is from the Department of Energy’s Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) program and is administered by the Indiana Office of Energy Development (IOED). Waynetown is awaiting final approval from the IOED in order to begin the project.

Columbia City, Indiana, awarded $249,504 for LED streetlights

The city of Columbia City, Indiana, has received $249,504 to be used for an LED streetlight replacement project. The award is from the Department of Energy’s Energy Efficiency and Conservation Grant (EECBG) program which is locally administered by the Indiana Office of Energy Development. The EECBG funds will be used to replace approximately 420 existing streetlights with LED fixtures.

Sunnyvale, California, issues $1.143MM RFP for LED streetlights or other energy efficient lighting

The city of Sunnyvale, California has issued an RFP valued at $1,142,500 for converting existing city-owned and maintained high pressure sodium (HPS) streetlights to energy efficient streetlights. Responses to the RFP are due by June 2, 2010.
