The city of Pinole, California has been awarded $103,455 by the Department of Energy’s Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) to replace existing high pressure sodium (HPS) streetlights with LED fixtures. The EECBG awards are administered by the California Energy Commission.

Des Moines, Iowa, to spend $150,000 on LED streetlights
The city of Des Moines, Iowa, will use $150,000 of federal and local funds to replace existing roadway lighting with LED streetlights.
The Iowa Office of Energy Independence (OEI) recently announced statewide awards for energy efficiency projects funded through the Department of Energy’s Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) program. The city of Des Moines, Iowa, received $75,000 from the EECBG, which will be used to replace 87 existing streetlights with LED streetlights.

Indiana Municipalities can access $4.8M fund to purchase LED streetlights

Ann Arbor, Michigan, a leader in the deployment of LED streetlights, is soliciting bids to replace 250 high pressure sodium fixtures with LED streetlights. The Michigan Department of Energy, Labor and Economic Growth which funds Michigan LED Demonstration Grants, in the city of Ann Arbor, Michigan, was recently awarded $218,712.

San Ramon, CA, to seek bids for LED streetlights worth $215,000
The city of San Ramon, California, is preparing to solicit bids for the installation of 349 LED streetlights along selected roadways within city limits. The Department of Energy’s Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) award of $215,600 will be used to fund the project along with utility rebates from Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E). The award will be used to replace all existing city owned and maintained high pressure sodium (HPS) cobra head streetlights along San Ramon Valley Blvd and Alcosta Blvd. A partial replacement of streetlights will take place on Bollinger Canyon Rd. between Canyon Lakes Dr. and Dougherty Rd.
