Twelve Iowa municipalities to get $1.2 million in EECBG funds for LED and energy efficient streetlight projects

Twelve municipalities in Iowa have been awarded approximately $1.2 million in federal stimulus funds to be used for LED streetlight and energy efficient streetlight projects. Administered by the Iowa Office of Energy Independence, the stimulus funds are non-entitlement Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grants (EECBG) from the US Department of Energy.
