Twenty Indiana cities receive $5 million award for LED streetlight program involving over 6,800 fixtures

The Department of Energy’s Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) program has awarded $5 million to the Indiana Municipal Power Agency (IMPA) to implement a 6,811 LED streetlight program. The award will be distributed to twenty member communities throughout the IMPA network. Individual LED streetlight retrofit projects will vary in size based on the street lighting needs of each community. Member communities are cities with small populations, ranging in size from under 200 to over 15,000 inhabitants.
