The city of Broken Bow, Nebraska, has received a total of $189,580 from the federal Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) program and local funding sources for energy efficient streetlights. According to city officials, the federal grant request was written specifically for metal halide streetlights, but the city is also considering LED streetlight technology.
