Trenton, Michigan, issues RFP for 161 LED streetlight fixtures

The city of Trenton, Michigan, a recipient of an Advanced Lighting Technology Demonstration Grant, has finalized plans for its first installation of LED streetlights. The energy efficient streetlight deployment is funded by a grant from the Michigan Energy Office (MEO), which was the recipient of federal funding from the US Department of Energy’s Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) program. The EECBG grants are locally administered by the MEO. The city of Trenton was one of six Michigan communities awarded funding for energy efficient lighting pilots. Trenton was awarded $75,410.
