Following a lengthy delay, the Township of Jackson, New Jersey, has entered into an agreement with utility provider Jersey Central Power and Light (JCP&L) for the purchase and installation of LED streetlights. The contract agreement was approved by Jackson Township officials and representatives of JCP&L. A $464,500 Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) award was granted to Jackson Township in October 2009, but unexpected delays resulted in repeated postponement of the project.
