The city of Chester, Pennsylvania, is pursuing its first installation of LED streetlights as part of the city’s economic development authority’s action plan. The project is funded in part by a grant from the US Department of Energy’s Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) program. The total funding for energy efficient streetlight lighting and traffic signals is $156,000. The EECBG grant is locally administered by the Pennsylvania Energy Office.
