Alberta, Canada, municipalities to install over 300 LED streetlight fixtures from BetaLED

Communities in the Canadian province of Alberta will be lit with LED streetlights as a result of a partnership of the Alberta Urban Municipalities Association (AUMA) and energy provider FortisAlberta. The towns of Stony Plain, Innisfail and Okotoks will receive a distribution of approximately 300 LED streetlights which will be installed as replacements for existing high pressure sodium (HPS) streetlight fixtures. The LED fixtures chosen for the installation are manufactured by BetaLED, a division of Ruud Lighting, of Racine, Wisconsin, and funding for the project comes directly from FortisAlberta.
