Six months after completing the first phase of an LED streetlight installation project, the city of Danville, California, remains satisfied the performance of its new, energy efficient lighting and is actively pursuing funds required to install additional fixtures. The first installation was funded by a grant award of $168,400 from the Department of Energy’s Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) program. The EECBG award is locally administered by the California Energy Commission (CEC). The project involved the installation of two hundred seventy-six LED streetlights.
