Cheyenne, Wyoming, evaluates LED streetlight technology from Leotek and BetaLED
The city of Cheyenne, Wyoming, has started evaluating LED streetlight technology as the first phase of a potential energy efficient lighting project.
The city has installed six fixtures in a pilot project to assess and test the energy efficient technology and calculate potential energy and cost savings. City engineers are testing LED streetlight fixtures manufactured by BetaLED, a division of Ruud Lighting, and Leotek of Milpitas, Calfornia. The city will eventually evaluate fixtures from other manufacturers.
