As part of its goal of energy efficiency and conservation, the Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM), Nova Scotia, has received and committed significant funding toward a large scale LED streetlight replacement project. Sources for the full C$1.8 million estimated budget are municipal funding, an award of C$918,807 from the ecoNova Scotia fund for clean air and climate change projects, and C$150,000 from Nova Scotia Power. HRM officials expect to replace 2,208 fixtures using the C$1.8 million.
