The town of Berwick, Nova Scotia, Canada, has received C$101,573 in provincial funds for the implementation of a comprehensive streetlight replacement program. The award is from ecoNova Scotia, a fund for clean air and climate change projects throughout the province. Town officials intend to replace 234 mercury vapor and high pressure sodium (HPS) streetlights with LED fixtures. This installation will complete Berwick’s conversion of its remaining streetlights. An initial pilot installation of sixty LED streetlights was funded by the province of Nova Scotia in partnership with LED Roadway, a local manufacturer of LED streetlights.
