The city of Yonkers, New York, is planning an overhaul of the city’s streetlight system and has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the project. The streetlight effort involves a comprehensive energy audit, streetlight audit, design, implementation and maintenance of new energy efficient cobrahead LED streetlights. The new LED fixtures will replace all of the city’s existing high intensity discharge (HID) streetlights. The city of Yonkers currently owns approximately 11,952 streetlights.
