Fairbanks, Alaska, plans to deploy 800 LED streetlights

The city of Fairbanks, Alaska, has initiated plans for a new,  large-scale installation of LED streetlights. The proposed project will involve approximately 800 new LED streetlight fixtures. The LED fixtures will replace existing high pressure sodium (HPS) streetlights. The project has an estimated value of $1 million and is funded through the Federal Highway Administration.
