Fremont, California, seeks bids for 401 LED streetlights

The city of Fremont, California, has issued a request for proposals (RFP) for the purchase and installation of cobrahead-style LED streetlights.

The project is funded by funds remaining from the city’s original Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) award which is part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. The EECBG grant is locally administered by the California Energy Commission. The upcoming project is a continuation of the city of Fremont’s move to replace existing streetlight fixtures with energy efficient LED streetlights.
