Baldwin City, Kansas, issues RFP for Relume and Philips LED streetlights

The city of Baldwin City, Kansas, seeks bids for a pilot installation of LED streetlights.

The project is funded by a $100,000 prize which the city was awarded as part of the state of Kansas’s “Take Charge Challenge.” The competition encouraged cities to focus on reducing energy consumption throughout their communities through energy audits and a switch to energy efficient lighting. Baldwin City will use a portion of the award to install approximately 83 LED streetlight fixtures, including decorative post-top fixtures and cobrahead fixtures.
