Success with energy efficient LED streetlights is guiding the city of Marysville, Washington, toward a second installation on city streets. Funded by a $84,489 grant from the US Department of Energy’s Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) program, the city plans to purchase and install about 63 new LED fixtures. The EECBG award is locally administered by the Washington State Department of Commerce. Approximately $55,000 of the total grant will be used for LED streetlights.
