As part of a “Main Street Initiative,” the city of Hendersonville, North Carolina, has received funding to replace existing streetlights with LED streetlight fixtures. The initiative is funded by a $52,200 grant from the US Department of Energy’s Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) program. The state program is locally administered by the North Carolina Energy Program. The project includes the purchase of thirty-two LED streetlight fixtures.
