Brundidge, Alabama, to use $81,000 grant to purchase LED streetlights

The Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA) recently approved federal funding for additional LED streetlight installations in the city of Brundidge, Alabama. Previously, a federal Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) award, issued in 2010, was used to purchase and install 104 cobrahead streetlight fixtures and 34 decorative LED streetlight fixtures. Subsequently, the city received a second EECBG award, valued at $69,950, which will be combined with city funds of $11,531. The combined funds will be used to purchase approximately 100 LED fixtures for the city’s second phase of energy efficient streetlight installations.

Robertsdale, Alabama, plans to purchase 120 LED streetlights

Robertsdale, Alabama, was recently awarded a grant from the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA), which will be used toward the city’s first deployment of energy efficient streetlighting. The award is part of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) program. The city of Robertsdale intends to purchase and install approximately 120 LED streetlight fixtures using the $90,000 grant.
