Stevens Point, Wisconsin, installs BetaLED streetlights and issues RFP specifying Philips Hadco fixtures for deployment’s next phase


The city of Stevens Point, Wisconsin, recently completed an installation of new LED streetlight fixtures on the city’s roadways. The city replaced 331 existing 250 watt high pressure sodium (HPS) streetlights with LED fixtures manufactured by BetaLED, a division of Ruud Lighting of Racine, Wisconsin. City officials selected principal arterial, minor arterial and collector roadways for the new streetlights. The project was completed in February 2011.
