Napa, California, installs 148 LED streetlights with $100,000 EECBG award

The city of Napa, California, recently completed a first phase installation of energy efficient LED streetlight fixtures along three city streets. The installation, which was funded by an award from the US Department of Energy’s Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) program and city matching funds, replaced existing high pressure sodium cobrahead streetlights with LED streetlight fixtures. The city of Napa received EECBG funding totaling $100,000 which was supplemented with leveraged funds of $16,930.
