New Jersey to get over $1.5 million in fed funds for LED streetlights

The New Jersey cities of Camden, Union City and Jersey City have received an allocation of over $1.5 million in federal stimulus funds to purchase energy efficient LED streetlights.

The funding comes from the US Department of Energy’s Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) program.

The office of US Senator Robert Menendez reported that $750,000 has been allocated to Camden, New Jersey, for the purchase and installation of energy efficient LED streetlights.
