Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, to install 350 LED streetlights

The town of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, will soon deploy its first installation of LED streetlights. The project will be used as a pilot study for town officials to test and evaluate energy efficient streetlighting technology in collaboration with South Carolina Electric and Gas (SCE&G). Funding of $500,000 for the purchase and installation of the LED streetlights is from the US Department of Energy’s Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) program.
