Nova Scotia Power seeks to identify interested vendors for LED streetlight project involving 25,000 fixtures

Nova Scotia Power, Inc. (NSPI), an electric utility providing power to the Canadian province of Nova Scotia, is in the process of evaluating suppliers of LED streetlights for a planned installation. Recent legislation stipulates that all of the province’s existing roadway streetlights be converted to LED streetlights with the implementation period for the streetlight conversion to take place over a five year period. Nova Scotia Power owns and maintains about 120,000 streetlights throughout the province.
