The city of Kinston, North Carolina, has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the city’s first large scale LED streetlight upgrade initiative. Funding for the project comes from an Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) award and is locally administered by the North Carolina Energy Office. The total amount budged for the project is $615,218 which includes the EECBG award of $499,500 and leveraged funds of $115,718.
